Sweet Pea flowers originally belong to the Fabaceae family and are native to the Mediterranean region. These flowers are annual climbers and are known to have an indifferent growth habit. They are found in a variety of different species that are majorly classified on the basis of their color. Their most popular varieties include blooms in red, pink, purple, white and deep blue. They grow from June to September. Sweet peas are often regarded as the best choice for colorful flower decorations as well as individual as individual cut flowers.

It is recommended to keep a watchful eye on them throughout their growth lifespan, as they are often affected by insects and pests. Their seeds are not edible and are found to be toxic.
